1. Our commitment
We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA across our website and apps. Accessibility is reviewed during design and code review for new features, and we treat accessibility issues as bugs — not edge cases.
2. What we do
- Use semantic HTML, proper heading structure, and ARIA only where it adds value.
- Provide visible focus styles and full keyboard navigation across the site.
- Ensure sufficient contrast for text and meaningful UI elements.
- Add descriptive labels and alt text for images, icons, and interactive elements.
- Support OS-level dark-mode and reduced-motion preferences where feasible.
- Test core flows with screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA) and keyboard-only navigation.
3. Known limitations
We are still building HeyAmigo, and some areas have known gaps we are actively addressing:
- Some interactive components do not yet expose state changes optimally to screen readers.
- A few legacy email templates do not yet meet WCAG AA contrast targets.
- The mobile apps are evolving alongside the web platform — accessibility coverage there is improving release by release.
We track and prioritize these issues internally. If you hit one not listed here, please tell us — see below.
4. Reporting an issue
If you encounter content that is hard to use with assistive technology, we want to know. Email accessibility@heyamigo.com with:
- The page or screen where the issue occurred.
- The assistive technology you were using (e.g. VoiceOver on iPhone, NVDA on Windows).
- What you expected and what happened.
We respond to accessibility reports within 5 business days and will tell you our plan to address the issue.
5. Alternative ways to use HeyAmigo
If something on the platform is blocking you and you need help right away, our support team can post a job, share a quote, or pass along a message on your behalf. Email support@heyamigo.com.
