Terms of Service

HeyAmigo (“HeyAmigo”, “we”, “us”) operates a two-sided marketplace that helps homeowners (“Customers”) find independent service providers (“Pros”) for home services. We are not a contractor and do not perform the work. The contract for any job is between the Customer and the Pro.

The platform is currently available in the United States only.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for everything that happens through your account.

You can close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm the platform, other users, or our team.

Customers post jobs and receive quotes from Pros. Pros set their own scope, rates, and minimums. The two parties agree on price and timing through the in-app messaging before any work happens. HeyAmigo is not a party to that agreement and does not guarantee any specific outcome.

Customers should review pro credentials, ratings, and quoted scope carefully before hiring. Pros should review job details before quoting and only accept work they are qualified and licensed to perform.

For now, all payments for completed jobs are made directly between the Customer and the Pro, in cash, after the work is complete. HeyAmigo does not currently process job payments. We are working on in-app card payments and escrow; when available, separate payment terms will apply.

Pros are charged platform fees for the leads they accept. Lead fees, refund eligibility, and payout terms (when payments go live) are described in the Pro Agreement available on the Pro dashboard.

You retain ownership of the content you submit to HeyAmigo (job descriptions, photos, reviews, messages). You grant HeyAmigo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and use that content as needed to operate and improve the platform.

Reviews must be honest and based on a real booking. Fake, paid, or coerced reviews are prohibited and we may remove them.

You agree not to:

• Use HeyAmigo for unlawful purposes or to harm others.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your credentials.
• Circumvent platform fees or payments where payments are processed in-app.
• Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the platform.
• Send unsolicited promotional messages to Customers or Pros.
• Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.

HeyAmigo is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that any Pro will accept a job, that quotes will be received within a specific time, or that work will meet your expectations. We screen Pros against the criteria described on our site, but we do not warrant the quality, safety, or legality of any work performed by a Pro.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HeyAmigo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amounts you paid us, if any, in the 12 months preceding the claim.

If you have a problem, contact support@heyamigo.com first — most issues are resolved informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved, it will be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and resolved in the state or federal courts located there, except where prohibited by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify you through the platform or by email before it takes effect. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated Terms.
