What we verify
We would rather tell you exactly what we check than imply more than we do. This page is the whole picture.
What we verify
Before a pro can quote on a job we verify their identity, that they carry active insurance, and that they hold a valid licence in trades where the state requires one. In California that means a check against the CSLB register for status, expiry and classification.
What we do not verify
We do not run criminal background checks. We do not verify individual employees of a licensed business, and we do not inspect completed work.
How often we re-check
Licence and insurance status is re-checked when a pro renews and at least annually. A pro whose licence lapses stops receiving jobs until it is current.
Reporting a pro
If something goes wrong, contact us through the support page. We investigate every report, and we remove pros who misrepresent their credentials.
