  • Is HeyAmigo really free for homeowners?
    Yes. Posting a job, comparing quotes, messaging pros, and using the app are all free. No credit card is required. The price you pay for the actual job is set by the pro you hire — HeyAmigo does not add a markup.
  • How does HeyAmigo make money?
    Pros buy the territory they work. Contractors pay a monthly price per trade per ZIP for jobs $1,500 and up; tradesmen pay $77 a month flat for up to 4 ZIPs and take the smaller jobs. Homeowners are never charged.
  • How much does territory cost?
    It depends on the trade and the ZIP. Each ZIP is priced on its own demand, typical job values, and what our advertising costs there, so a dense high-value ZIP costs many times what a thin one does. Four contractors work each ZIP per trade. You see the exact price and the projected monthly lead volume before you buy, and the first month is free on up to 4 ZIPs.
  • Are quotes binding?
    Initial quotes are estimates based on what you describe. The pro confirms a firm price after reviewing photos or doing a walkthrough. Lock in the final price in the in-app chat before any work begins — that written agreement is what you both stand behind.
  • How and when do I pay the pro?
    All jobs on HeyAmigo are paid in cash directly to the pro — HeyAmigo does not process payments yet. Agree on the final price in writing through the in-app chat before work starts, and pay only when the job is complete to your satisfaction. In-app card payments and escrow are coming soon.
  • Are there any extra fees?
    No. There are no platform fees, no service fees, and no card processing surcharges — you pay the price you and the pro agreed on, in cash, and that is it.
