  • Is HeyAmigo really free for homeowners?
    Yes. Posting a job, comparing quotes, messaging pros, and using the app are all free. No credit card is required. The price you pay for the actual job is set by the pro you hire — HeyAmigo does not add a markup.
  • How does HeyAmigo make money?
    Pros pay HeyAmigo for the leads they accept. They are not charged unless they choose to send a quote, and they get credits back if a lead turns out to be fake, duplicated, or out of scope. Homeowners are never charged.
  • How much do pros pay per lead?
    Lead prices vary by trade, job size, and metro — a small handyman task costs the pro a few dollars, while a large remodel lead costs more. Pros see the price before they accept, so they only pay for leads worth their time.
  • Are quotes binding?
    Initial quotes are estimates based on what you describe. The pro confirms a firm price after reviewing photos or doing a walkthrough. Lock in the final price in the in-app chat before any work begins — that written agreement is what you both stand behind.
  • How and when do I pay the pro?
    All jobs on HeyAmigo are paid in cash directly to the pro — HeyAmigo does not process payments yet. Agree on the final price in writing through the in-app chat before work starts, and pay only when the job is complete to your satisfaction. In-app card payments and escrow are coming soon.
  • Are there any extra fees?
    No. There are no platform fees, no service fees, and no card processing surcharges — you pay the price you and the pro agreed on, in cash, and that is it.
